What is the Black Massage Therapist Conference?

The Black Massage Therapist Conference is a two-day event designed to bring together industry experts, entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals to share their insights and experiences on various business topics.

When and where is the Black Massage Therapist Conference taking place?

The Black Massage Therapist Conference will take place on October 7-8, 2025 at the Hilton Charlotte Airport Hotel in Charlotte, NC.

Where do I pay for the Black Massage Therapist Conference?

All payments and registrations will occur on the conference website by individual attendees and participants. Legally, NO UNAUTHROIZED payments can be made outside of our website or through other companies, vendors, third party entities, etc.

Who should attend the BMT Conference?

 Black Licensed Massage Therapist and/or Black Massage Therapist Student 

Why should I come to the BMT Conference?

The conference is for black massage therapists to feel a sense of belonging and community. Our mission is to form a community of black licensed massage therapists nationwide and worldwide. This community will network and provide a collaborative approach in how we can also educate the black communities on holistic health and wellness treatments and services. 

Do I receive Continuing Education credits?

Yes! You will receive up to 12  LIVE CE. 4 Nineteen Education & Training is a NCBTMB Approved Provider 1000286 

New York State doesn't approve any business classes or the sound bowl therapy class.

Can I attend if I don’t want to take any continuing education classes?

 Yes, if you pay for the VIP: Dinner and Networking, you will be able to attend the cocktail hour, dinner and networking from 6pm-10pm or stop by the Exhibit Hall.

What is included in my ticket?

 Tickets include 2-day live classes, up to 12 continuing education credits, 2 Days of Breakfast & Lunch, exhibit hall, activities, giveaways, and chance to win prizes. 

What is included in my VIP ticket?

 VIP: Wine, Dine & Networking: includes Up to 12 CE Credits, 2 Days of Breakfast & Lunch, VIP Semi-Formal Dinner, Networking & Dancing

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes if you are taking a hands on class. Business, branding or ethics classes won’t have a specific dress code.

 If attending the VIP: Dinner and Networking, please wear semi-formal clothing.

Do I need to bring a massage table?

 Yes, if you're local or driving.  

Can I bring my family, friends, or kids?

 This environment is only for conference attendees during the day. Adult family members can come during cocktail and dinner hour for additional fee.

What classes will be taught?

Business, Professional Ethics & more. For detailed information - please check the Schedule / Speakers at the top of the website page.

Is there a shuttle or free parking?

Complimentary Airport Shuttle and Complimentary overnight parking for groups attendees.

Should I bring anything?

Bring a massage table of you're local or driving. Bring lotion or oil, 2 sets of sheets, funds if you are participating in festivities, and ID to verify registration. Laptop or tablet.

Who will be at the conference?

 Black massage therapists, massage students and speakers in the industry to inspire, connect and teach you how to better your career. Industry vendors and sponsors.

Are service animals allowed?

 Animals are permitted. Just let the team know at [email protected] Also, make sure to have your documentation handy in case you are asked to show it. 

What is the official hotel cancellation policy?

 Sleeping room cancellation policy - cancel within 24 hours of arrival.

What is the deadline to book my hotel room?

 To receive the BMT Conference discounted rate, you will need to book your hotel room by September 20th, 2024, 11:59pm.

Will meals be provided at the event?

The hotel does provide 2 Days of Breakfast & Lunch

Are Masks Required?

 Unless it’s required by the hotel, masks are not required. 

Authorize to use your image or videos

 You acknowledge that  4 Nineteen Education & Training and the Black Massage Therapist Conference may use your image or likeness in photos or videos that will be used for marketing purposes as an attendee or participant at the conference.

Can I request a refund?

No Refunds, All payments are Final.

Do you have Payment Plans and Deposit options?

Yes, however if your payment fails with the automatic withdrawals, you lose your registration fee and ability to attend the conference if balance is not paid. You must pay the payment plan balance within the same Tier in order to honor the same price rate. If you do not pay within the Tier of your initial payment plan you will be responsible to pay the payment plan difference within the Tier that you will be making the payment. If payment is not paid by October 4th  you forfeit your registration fee and will not be able to attend the conference. Same applies if you paid a deposit and an invoice for the balance is not paid by the due date. Invoices are sent to the email account that was used to register. Afterpay or Klarna payments are options as well. 

Can I transfer my registration?

Registrations may not be transferred from one person to another. Registrations may not be "gifted" to someone else. REGARDLESS OF THE REASON, NO refunds or transfers will be issued for ANY registration
